About Dr. Aishwarya Gudihal

Dr. Aishwarya Gudihal is a pediatric dentist, or pedodontist, a specialist trained to care for the teeth of infants, children and teenagers. She visits Curve Orthodontics as our children's dental specialist, from a baby's first dental visit to treating cavities and spotting early bite problems.

She completed her BDS with distinction at SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, in 2019 and her MDS in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at V.S. Dental College & Hospital, Bengaluru, in 2023, with clinical postings at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health. She then worked as a resident pedodontist at Apollo Hospitals before consulting at children's dental practices across Bengaluru.

Her Approach

Children need a different kind of dental visit. Dr. Aishwarya adapts how she examines, explains and treats to each child's age and comfort, builds trust gradually and keeps parents involved at every step. Prevention comes first, with fluoride, sealants and practical advice on brushing and diet, so that small problems are caught before they need bigger treatment.

Questions About Dr. Aishwarya

What is a pediatric dentist?

A pediatric dentist (pedodontist) is a dentist with three years of specialist training (MDS) in the dental care of children, from infancy through the teenage years, including children with special health needs.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Ideally by their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. An early visit lets Dr. Aishwarya check how the teeth are developing, advise you on brushing and diet, and help your child get used to the dental chair.

My child is scared of the dentist. Can Dr. Aishwarya help?

Yes. Pediatric dentists are trained to help anxious children. Dr. Aishwarya takes time to build trust, explains each step in words your child understands and goes at their pace.

Do milk teeth really need fillings?

Yes. Decay in milk teeth can cause pain and infection and can affect the permanent teeth developing underneath. Milk teeth also hold space for adult teeth, so saving them helps prevent crowding later.

Which languages does Dr. Aishwarya speak?

She consults in English, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
