When I finished my MDS in Orthodontics, I had a clear vision: to create a clinic that puts orthodontic patients first. Not a general dental practice that happens to offer braces, but a dedicated space where transforming smiles is our singular focus. That vision became Curve Orthodontics.

Bridging a Gap

After completing four years of dental school plus three additional years of specialized orthodontic training, I noticed a gap in Bengaluru's dental landscape. Patients seeking orthodontic treatment often found themselves at multi-specialty clinics where orthodontics was just one of many services offered. While these clinics do excellent work, I believed there was room for something different—a clinic built from the ground up around the orthodontic patient experience.

In multi-specialty settings, orthodontic patients sometimes feel like they're competing for attention with emergency dental cases or general check-ups. Appointment availability can be limited, and the environment isn't always optimized for the unique needs of patients undergoing treatment that spans months or years.

What an Ortho-First Clinic Means

Specialized expertise matters. While all orthodontists are dentists, only about 6% of dentists are orthodontists. To earn this specialization, orthodontists complete an additional two to three years of full-time, accredited training beyond dental school—over 3,700 hours dedicated exclusively to the science of tooth movement, jaw alignment, facial bone positioning, and soft tissue management. This isn't a weekend course or a certification program; it's a deep immersion into the mechanics of creating beautiful, functional smiles.
